God uses pictures throughout the Bible. In Psalm 119:11 the picture of “hiding God’s Word in your heart” is used to illustrate the discipline of memorizing Scripture. The big picture of Psalm 119 is the importance of Scripture, and memorization ensures we take God’s Word wherever we go. 

But memorizing can be difficult for many, young and old alike.

Introducing… Picto•Verses! A pictogram uses pictures instead of words. And so, we create pictograms for Bible verses as a mental hook for remembering. Some drawings convey the literal meaning of the word, while others are merely a memory aid. We pray this helps you memorize Scripture and maybe even inspires you to draw your own pictograms for other verses, or even full chapters, in the Bible.
